This is the home of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Montgomery and Wilson Counties. We are very glad that you decided to learn more about our program and how you can help to make a difference in the life of a child. You can use this site to inquire more about our community based mentoring program, as well as learn about upcoming events and how you can get involved. You may even sign up online to become a "Big" or enroll a child.
Why Volunteer?
What a great way to give back to your community. I can't think of any better way to invest in your future! Every child deserves to have a positive role model in their lives! Many of our volunteers tell us how much they receive back from meeting with a child once per week. What started as an investment in a child's life often results in a benefit to the individual.
Why refer a child to Big Brother Big Sisters Program?
Studies have shown that children who are matched are less likely to use drugs, more likely to remain in school, make better choices and be successful in life. Matched children benefit from develping a relationship with a carefully screened individual who will build a trusting friendship that will last a lifetime.
